So we had this idea where each month, we pick a different book to read about living and/or working sustainably! The plan is to post the book at the beginning of the month. Then! At the end of the month, we want to gab about it at a Mission: Possible with our pals who also read it! Multitasking! Of course, we’ll post highlights from what we all thought right here! The first book is Go Green, Live Rich by David Bach.

I started this book about a week ago (I know, I’m a cheater), and parts of it make me really emotional. It’s about all sorts of little changes you can make in your life to save the planet and money at the same time. I think that framing the discussion about conservation in terms like this could make such a huge difference. The basic premise of the book is that it might appear that making a smaller footprint costs money when you look at things like the price of organic produce, but there are so many things you can do that won’t break your wallet! He talks about reducing the number of cars in your household and avoiding bottled water in favor of a drink from the tap. I can’t wait to get to the chapters about greening your home!!!

If you’re planning to read, shoot an email to us over at supercute AT shinyandfuzzy DOT com!

We’re hoping to have polling figured out before too long, so you guys can vote on books in the future!
