			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m not sure what it is about Seed Banks, but I love hearing about these fantastic facilities that are storing the world&#8217;s seeds.  Maybe it&#8217;s that idea of archiving all of that biodiversity&#8230;it feels like such a noble thing.  Maybe it makes me feel a little safer knowing there are folks out there preserving our food options.  It&#8217;s hard to say, but this TED Talk gets me all emotional for whatever reason.</p>

I want to pickle everything now.   Since this was my very first time pickling anything, I thought I&#8217;d play it safe and try some simpler recipes.  A little googling and a chat with <a href="http://www.lizerati.com/">Liz</a> left me with two recipes that felt pretty manageable.  Of course, I can never leave well enough alone, so here are my adapted versions!</p>
