Alamo Square Park Shoe Garden
So yesterday I ran across those lovely fence hearts from Outdoor Knit. Writing about that reminded me that my friend Rob posted some pics to Flickr of the Alamo Square Shoe Garden in San Francisco that had me totally intrigued!
For more about the garden, check my post over at Glue and Glitter!

Hearts and Fences
I am in love with this project from Outdoor Knit!!!

Garbage Garbage Can
I am sort of swooning over this garbage can made of garbage from Craftster user lovething:
She got the project idea from Mark Montano’s Big-Ass Book of Crafts. We’ve actually got some placemats and coasters made with a similar method that my mother-in-law got me for Christmas at 10,000 Villages. They’re awesome and very [...]

DIY: Make Your Own Beauty Supplies
Conventional beauty products often contain harmful additives to increase lather or give the product a creamy texture. Ingredients like Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate (SLS), for example, are in pretty much every skin- and hair-care product. SLS is a known mutagen and skin irritant and is even a suspected carcinogen! Even many natural products even contain some [...]

Keith’s Bottlecap Trivet
At this point, our beercap collection is pretty out of control, so you can imagine my joy when Jenny Ryan over at Craftzine posted about this awesome trivet made of bottlecaps and yarn scraps.

Eco Gingerbread Houses
OK, I know…I’m a little late to the party on this one, but it’s too awesome to pass up! The Essex County Environmental Center held a gingerbread house contest, but these weren’t just any gingerbread houses – they had to contain green building elements. Check out the winners:
