Reusing those Peanuts

Genius! The fine folks over at Re-Nest posted a fabulous tip today on dealing with those pesky packing peanuts. Places like Mailboxes, Etc. will accept them if you have them boxed of bagged up and reuse them for packing purposes! Of course, you don’t know what the package’s recipient will [...]

Check out Resource Revival! This super-rad business started when owner Graham Bergh blew a bike tire and realized it made a great cradle for his stereo speakers. The Oregon-based company grew from there and now creates all sorts of awesome products from used bicycle parts! I am especially in love with their Tea [...]

Cradle to Cradle

In this TED Talk, William McDonough talks about the ethics and true intent of design. This topic in particular is really close to my heart…it’s at the core of what I’m trying to do with my business and McDonough just puts it so beautifully here in his talk about cradle to cradle design.

Here is [...]

Ex-Barbie Pincushion

Check out this amazing pincushion by artist Elsa Mora! Elsa named the doll Mitra and transformed her from trash into an awesome way to store her pins and a pair of scissors! I just love the details she added, like the eyebrows. You can learn Mitra’s story over at her [...]
